Our Mission

“THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.”   December 23, 1776

Thomas Paine’s words in the early stages of the American Revolution may seem irrelevant 233 years later.  But, never have they been more relevant.  Freedom was precious and hard won then and it is precious and hard maintained today.  A few months prior to this quote, Mr. Paine wrote his famous pamphlet Common SenseHe believed that Common Sense dictated that the Colonists must reject the Tyranny of Great Britain and seek their Independence.

Today we face another Tyranny, this time the enemy comes from within. Our leaders in Washington, regardless of their party affiliation, have become completely disconnected from reality, especially the realities of finance.
As in Thomas Paine’s time, Common Sense dictates the proper course of action.  Our problem today is that there is a desperate lack of Common Sense in our populace and especially in our leadership.

Our Purpose:

To bring a Common Sense perspective to the on-going discussion of where we’ve been, where we are and where we are going in America.  To remind people that they are only as free as they act, and that if we continue to allow the Tyrannical powers in Washington to pursue their current course of action that Freedom may well be in jeopardy.
